At Holly Lodge we believe that caring about and supporting the needs of the individual student is essential to ensure their happiness and success within a large school community.
All staff within the school have a responsibility to care for all students, however to support this we also have a team of staff who are dedicated to helping students overcome any barriers that may be affecting their learning.
Holly Lodge Pastoral Care
Every student is allocated to a tutor group. The form tutor, who they see twice a day, is a key member of staff and is responsible for establishing happy, secure and supportive relationships with their group. The form tutor should be contacted initially if you have any concerns regarding your child’s progress at Holly Lodge.

The teams of form tutors are led by Key Stage Directors, who work with the Assistant Head teacher responsible for student welfare and inclusion, to oversee all aspects of your child’s progress at Holly Lodge.
Working alongside these staff, are a team of Student Support Managers, whose main focus is to support the welfare needs of all students and their families.
Our Attendance Manager works across the school to ensure all students understand the importance of good attendance. Where attendance and punctuality to school become an issue they will work with the student and their family to overcome the barriers.
At times, students may have difficulties that require more specialist support. In order to cater for the needs of these students we liaise and work closely with other in school support staff like Learning Mentors and academic coaches and a wide range of external agencies.
Parents’ involvement in their children’s education is the absolutely essential factor in success at Holly Lodge school.

Settled Status
We would like to raise and support your awareness regarding the EU Settlement Scheme applications for all EU nationals and family members currently residing here in the UK.
Some of you may already be familiar with the application and have applied but some families are still uncertain as to whether they need to apply or should apply. We are keen to ensure that as many families as possible have the correct information regarding their legal status here in the UK.
Summer Holiday Counselling Sessions 2020
Our counsellor will be offering sessions in the summer holidays. If you would like to book a counselling session, have worries, concerns or just need to talk to someone please contact us at talk@holly-lodge.org.
